Brief History of the Department:

1. The department of Microbiology was established in this college during the academic year 1995-96
2. This course is offered to the students in combination with other subjects- Chemistry and zoology.
3. Prof. P.Channabasappa served the department as the HOD from 1995-2005
4.Prof.M.S.Vijayakumari served the department as a HOD from 2006-2012
5. Presently Prof G.Chidanandamurthy is the Head of the Department from 2012 with other two faculty members and now Smt Girija. L is present HOD of the department with two staff members Smitha.N and Deepthi.K.Murthy.
